CE Class – Virtual – Statutory Defenses and Immunities

Topic: Statutory Defenses and Immunities

Just because you are at fault does not mean you are liable. New Jersey provides numerous statutory defenses and immunities to a claim depending on the type of incident, extent of damages and type of defendant being sued. This is an overview of four of the most common statutory defenses: Comparative Negligence, Verbal Threshold, Charitable Immunity and the Tort Claims Act.
